February is here - School's back!

Kia Ora Whanau,

February is here, school's back. Many of our students will be back to using netbooks or chromebooks again in the classroom, or perhaps are using it for the first time! Check out some helpful tips from our friend Andrey below. Ensure you and your children both understand clearly the Kawa of Care and being CyberSmart at home. If not, feel free to contact us or get in touch with your teacher!

Happy Holidays - Welcome to 2015!

Kia Ora Whanau,

We trust you have had a well deserved break over the Christmas and New Year holidays. As you start to organise your family for this new school year, make sure you check up on a few things:
  • Netbook is in working order ready for learning and payments are up to date.
  • You have new uniforms if required
  • Dates confirmed for when your children start back (particularly for our high school students)
If you know you need to talk regarding one of the points listed, head down to your school ASAP - do not leave it until the last minute!

Lastly, check out this fabulous newsletter created by our friends from the Woolf Fisher Research Centre. Some of you may recognise this group, who took time out last year to interview students and parents in our community. The feedback you gave was invaluable and has helped to contribute to this wonderful piece of work. You can expect to receive similar newsletters from them throughout the year, helping us as a whanau work together in becoming better learners. Need tips on how to help your child at home? Not too sure what to look out for when it comes to their learning? Take some time out of your day to read through this newsletter, we would love to hear your thoughts!
